Subdomain
Configure your default statusdashboard.io subdomain.
The platform subdomain is your dashboard's default address on statusdashboard.io. Change it from the Domains tab when you need a different slug; the update takes effect immediately.
Format requirements
When you create a dashboard, StatusDashboard assigns it a unique subdomain on statusdashboard.io (e.g., acme.statusdashboard.io). This subdomain:
- Can be changed at any time from the Domains tab — the change takes effect immediately.
- Is always active and requires no DNS configuration.
- Redirects visitors to your custom domain automatically once a custom domain becomes active.
If you change the subdomain, your dashboard URL changes immediately. Any bookmarks, links, or embedded widgets using the old subdomain will stop working. If you use the embeddable widget, copy the updated embed code from the Widget tab and replace it on your site.
