Custom pricing

Card billing for organizations on negotiated pricing.

View Markdown

Some organizations subscribe at a negotiated price instead of choosing Basic, Team, or Pro from the public catalog. When custom pricing applies, the StatusDashboard team assigns a specific Stripe price to your account and configures entitlements to match your agreement.

Billing still runs through secure card checkout in the admin console, but self-serve plan browsing and interval changes are disabled. The sections below explain what you can manage yourself and when to contact support.

Overview

Most organizations subscribe through the standard plan catalog in the admin console. Custom pricing applies when your organization has a negotiated agreement with the StatusDashboard team. Your account is assigned a specific Stripe price, and you subscribe to that price only.

Custom billing uses the same secure card checkout as self-serve plans. Your tier and feature entitlements are configured by our team to match your agreement (for example, Pro with additional capabilities).

What you can do

When your account is on custom pricing and has an active subscription, you can:

  • View your current plan and billing amount on the Billing page
  • Update your payment method
  • Cancel or resume a scheduled cancellation
  • Download invoices from the Billing page

What you cannot do

Custom pricing does not include self-serve catalog features:

  • You cannot browse or select Basic, Team, or Pro catalog plans
  • You cannot change your plan or switch billing interval in the admin console
  • Plan or pricing changes require contacting support

If you need a different price or commercial terms, contact support.

Subscribing

If your organization was moved to custom pricing but does not yet have an active subscription:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Follow the subscribe flow for your assigned custom price
  3. Enter your card details to activate billing

You will only see the price assigned to your organization — not the public plan catalog.

Managed billing vs custom pricing

Managed billing (manual invoicing) means our team handles all payment collection offline. Self-serve card checkout is not available.

Custom pricing means you pay by card through Stripe Checkout, but at a negotiated price rather than a catalog plan. Both are configured by the StatusDashboard team — the Billing page shows which applies to your account.
