The Support page gives visitors a dedicated place for contact paths and FAQs, separate from incident updates. Enable it when you want help resources one click away from your status dashboard.

What's on the support page

The Support feature lets you publish a dedicated /support page on your status dashboard. It is available to all plans — no feature entitlement required.

When enabled, a Support link appears in the action bar below your dashboard header. Visitors can click it to reach your support page at any time, independently of current incident status.

The support page can contain three optional sections:

SectionDescription
ParagraphA short introductory message rendered as formatted text (up to 1 000 characters).
Contact escalation pathUp to 5 contact cards or process steps arranged in escalation order. Each entry is either a Person or a Process.
FAQUp to 10 frequently asked questions with formatted answers.

You can populate any combination of these sections. Empty sections are not shown to visitors.

Configuring the support page

  1. Open the dashboard you want to configure and go to the Support section.
  2. Use the Enable Support Page toggle to control visitor visibility.
  3. Fill in any sections you want to display:
    • Paragraph — write a short introduction or opening message.
    • Contact escalation path — add up to 5 entries in order of escalation priority. Use Add person or Add process to choose the type. Reorder entries with the up/down arrows.
    • FAQ — add up to 10 question-and-answer pairs. Reorder them with the up/down arrows.
  4. Click Save Changes to store your changes (including the enable toggle).
All changes — including enabling or disabling the support page — are saved together when you click Save Changes. Use Discard to revert unsaved edits.

Contact escalation path

Each entry in the escalation path is either a Person or a Process step. Entries are displayed to visitors in the order you define them, and can be reordered at any time using the up/down arrows.

Person

A person card represents a named individual or team that visitors can contact directly.

FieldRequiredLimit
NameYes100 characters
Title / RoleNo100 characters
EmailNo254 characters
PhoneNo50 characters
Link / URLNo2 048 characters
Extra instructionsNo500 characters

Email and URL values must be valid. Leave them blank if not applicable.

The Extra instructions field is a plain-text note shown in italics below the contact details — use it for guidance like "Call Tom's cell first, then email if no response within 10 minutes."

Process

A process step describes a workflow or procedure visitors should follow, such as submitting a ticket via a support portal.

FieldRequiredLimit
Process nameYes100 characters
Ticket / portal URLNo2 048 characters
Process stepsNo500 characters

Use Process steps to describe what the visitor should do — for example, "Visit the URL and open a ticket. If you don't hear back in 10 minutes, escalate to the next step."

Hiding a contact

Any entry in the escalation path can be hidden from the public page without deleting it. Click the eye icon in the card header to toggle visibility. Hidden entries remain saved and editable in the admin — they simply do not appear to visitors. Use this to temporarily hide a contact who is on vacation.

FAQ

Each FAQ item has a question and a formatted answer. Items can be reordered using the up/down arrows.

FieldRequiredLimit
QuestionYes200 characters
AnswerNo1 000 characters

Answers support rich text formatting. On the public page, answers are collapsed by default and expand when the visitor clicks the question.

Toggling visibility

The Enable Support Page toggle controls whether the support page is publicly accessible. Click Save Changes to apply:

  • Off — the /support route returns a 404 and the Support link does not appear in the action bar.
  • On — the page is live for all visitors. No authentication is required to view it.

Disabling the page does not delete your saved paragraph, contacts, or FAQ. You can turn the page off temporarily and re-enable it later with the same content.
