The Active Maintenance module shows maintenance windows that have started and are still in progress. Visitors see schedules, descriptions, and timeline updates for work happening now.

***

## What visitors see
The **Active Maintenance** module lists maintenance events that have started and are currently underway, affecting components on this dashboard.

When enabled, a section titled **Active Maintenance** appears on your status dashboard. Each entry shows the maintenance title, current phase, scheduled window, description, optional **Impact Analysis** (when set), affected components, and timeline updates.

Entries are sorted **most recently started first**.

## Which maintenance events appear
A maintenance window is included only when all of the following are true:

* It is **published** to the status dashboard.
* It is **in progress** (the window has begun and has not yet completed).
* It affects **at least one component currently configured** on this dashboard.

Scheduled maintenance that has not yet started appears under [Planned Maintenance](/docs/status-dashboards/content/planned-maintenance), not here.

See [Dashboard scope](/docs/status-dashboards/components#dashboard-scope) if you change component wiring and entries disappear from this page.

The dashboard shows an initial batch of active maintenance windows. If more exist, visitors can click **Load more** to see additional entries.

## When the section is hidden
If the module is enabled but no maintenance is currently in progress for this dashboard's components, the section does not appear.

If the module is turned off in the Content tab, the section is never shown.
