Plan tiers, pricing, trial, and subscription changes.

StatusDashboard offers three paid tiers plus a free trial for new organizations. Each tier unlocks different features and usage limits; higher plans add capabilities such as custom branding, integrations, SSO, and larger notification quotas.

Organization admins can compare tiers and subscribe from the [Billing](/app/billing) page. The sections below list current pricing, explain the trial period, and describe how upgrades, downgrades, and billing intervals work.

## Plans and pricing
StatusDashboard offers three paid plans plus a free trial. All plans include core status dashboard functionality — higher tiers unlock additional features and higher usage limits.

**Annual plans are billed once per year** as a single charge. Monthly plans renew on the same calendar date each month.

## Free trial
New organizations start on a free trial. The trial gives you full access to evaluate the platform before adding a card.

* The [Billing](/app/billing) page shows a banner with days remaining on your trial.
* When your trial ends, the organization is suspended until you subscribe.
* No credit card is required to start — you only add payment details when you choose to subscribe.

## Subscribing
To activate a paid subscription:

1. Go to [Billing](/app/billing).
2. Click **Subscribe** on the trial banner or the plan card.
3. Select your preferred plan and billing interval (monthly or yearly).
4. Enter your card details and click **Subscribe**.

> Your bank may briefly redirect you to confirm the payment (3-D Secure). You return to Billing automatically when verification completes.

Your plan activates immediately. A receipt is emailed to your account's billing email.

## Changing your plan
### Upgrading
Click **Change plan**, select a higher tier, and confirm. The upgrade takes effect immediately. We calculate a prorated charge for the remainder of your current billing period, and you are charged only for the difference.

### Downgrading
To downgrade to a lower plan, [reach out to support](/contact). Our team will assist with the change.
