# Remove dashboard email sender

Remove the custom notification email sender from a dashboard.

Source: https://statusdashboard.com/docs/api/status-dashboards/dashboards/branding/email-sender/delete

`DELETE /app/dashboards/{id}/branding/email-sender`

Removes the email sender configuration for this dashboard. Notification emails revert to the platform default sender.

Requires the **Custom Branding** feature entitlement and **admin** role.

If other dashboards in your organization still use the same sending domain, the domain verification is preserved for those dashboards. When this dashboard is the last reference to the domain, status changes to `removing` while cleanup runs asynchronously — poll [Get dashboard email sender](/docs/api/status-dashboards/dashboards/branding/email-sender/get) until `status` is `unset`. Calling DELETE again while status is `removing` returns `204` and re-queues cleanup (safe if a prior cleanup enqueue failed).
